Art Classes in the Botanics offer a range of tutored drawing and painting classes open to everyone. Operating since 2009 from a studio in Glasgow Botanic Gardens the classes include; life drawing, oil painting, watercolour, pastel, portraiture, drawing skills and many more.
Alongside the regular courses Art Classes in the Botanics also holds annual painting holidays in the south of France and Spain.
Complete beginners are welcome at every course.
The Glasgow Botanic Gardens are an ideal setting for anyone wishing to develop their artistic abilities. In the heart of the westend, the Botanics are easy to reach and offer a quiet oasis for drawing and painting. The venue for the classes and courses is the Hopkirk Building; a perfect, bright studio space in a corner of the gardens. All classes are very relaxed and friendly. Everyone is welcome.
Anyone can learn to draw and paint - all you need is enthusiasm.
We all have far more artistic ability than we are aware of. With the right approach and guidance, everyone who wishes can produce amazing drawings and paintings.
